Open Avenues offers a range of high-quality, evidenced-based services for children and young people with a range of developmental disabilities, learning, social and behavioural challenges, including those with a diagnosis of Autism. Services are available for children from Early Years, Primary and Secondary phases of education.
We believe in empowering children and young people to engage with education, and move towards a fulfilling and independent life. Our approach centres around assessing what barriers a learner is facing, what is motivating for them, and designing tailored, child-centred programmes of support.
As behaviour analysts we use evidence-based methods which have been demonstrated through research to be the most effective way to teach key skills and reduce the impact of behavioural challenges, centred around Positive Behaviour Support and Contextual Behavioural Science. Our practitioners are DBS-checked and fully insured, and available for one-off input or ongoing consultancy.
